Montreal Nationals dominate 2nd Americas Conference week
The Montreal Nationals team have dominated this second week in the Americas Conference. In one of the two 6-max Sit and Go‘s, we saw Xuan Liu victorious earning six points for her team. On Thursday Pascal LeFrancois added nine more points to the score with a 3-0 win over Thiago Nishijima of the Sao Paulo Mets.
In the first 6-max Sit and Go, we saw Kitty Kuo jumping out of her chair celebrating her win. Kevin MacPhee of the New York Rounders was less happy with the results in the 6-max Sit and Go’s, busting as the first player in both of them for what Griffen Benger and Sam Grafton called a double donut.
Yesterday, Jason Mercier saved the week for the New York Rounders with nine points in a clean sweep win over Phil Galfond of the San Francisco Rush. In what many already call the match of the season, we saw two of the greatest poker minds in the world battling each other. If you haven’t seen the three heads-up games, we highly recommend you to do so. And even if we have told you what the result is, we all can learn so much from the spot-on analysis of Phil and Jason.
